Humans of New York Restores Faith in the Human Spirit

I have been following this page for over a year, and each time “HONY” posts a pic with a quote from the person he interviews, it receives positive comments. Humans of New York is a diamond in the rough in a sea of the blogosphere. It is worth the find. The photographer Brandon Stanton  created HONY in the summer of 2010, capturing the essence of the city through the people he meets.

They have provided the most raw, vulnerable, honest, and cutest quotes I have ever read. The underlying thing is that this is a gold mine.

What is also great about HONY, was when one of the people he met, a little boy and his mother trying to raise money in order for him to visit a horse ranch, the followers of HONY were able to to raise enough money to make this young man’s dream come true. They didn’t have to do it but they did.

That is why this site is so great, it makes you feel good, and gives a sense of kinship of the human soul.

On October 15 of this year, Brandon will be releasing his Humans of New York book full of 400 full colored pictures.

HONY’s Facebook page is great to look at the comments on the posts shared each day.

Here’s a pic to show you the profoundness of HONY.
