It seems that my life is an up and down roller coaster on quicksand. One day is great the next is stressfull. I’m at a point in my life where thoughts of giving up waivers in my face. I know I shouldn’t, but sometimes I’m just too tired to do anything. I’m not saying that I’ll give up, but they are just thoughts that float around. Can anyone truly look at themselves in the mirror and be content with the way they look and their circumstance without complaints?

Shriver signs off. Maria Shriver’s not interested in going back to the TV news biz.
Shriver, speaking this week at a women’s conference in California, noted the media circus surrounding Anna Nicole Smith’s accidental drug overdose death in February.
“It was then that I knew that the TV news business had changed and so had I,” she said. “I called NBC News and told them I’m not coming back.”
Shriver took an extended leave from the network when husband Arnold Schwarzenegger ran for governor in 2003. The following year, she announced she was leaving NBC News because she was unable to juggle her work there with her duties as California’s first lady.
The trials of Britney. Britney Spears avoided a criminal hit-and-run trial by paying for damages in a fender-bender but still faces a charge of driving without a license, a court commissioner ruled Thursday in Los Angeles.
Spears was not required to attend the hearing on the misdemeanor charges stemming from an Aug. 6 parking lot mishap.
Superior Court Commission Susan Speer dismissed the hit-and-run charge after a lawyer for the pop star said his client had paid an undisclosed amount to a woman whose car was hit in a Studio City parking lot.
Catching up with the Lohans. Michael Lohan wants to patch things up with his family.
“Reconciliation and redemption — across the board,” says Lohan, a born-again Christian. “Just all of us getting right with God.”
Lohan’s 21-year-old daughter Lindsay, star of “Mean Girls,” has said her father’s behavior and her parents’ divorce caused her to act out and log three tips to rehab since January.
Michael and estranged wife Dina Lohan settled their long-simmering divorce in August, months after he left a New York state prison where he served almost two years for drunken driving and other charges. He has said his daughter needs the same type of Christian-based rehabilitation treatment he received after his release.
Bad manners? TMZ.com reports that Kathie Martin, who runs the Etiquette School of Birmingham, Ala., has filed a lawsuit against Sasha Baron Cohen and 20th Century Fox, claiming she was emotionally assaulted by Cohen in a scene from last year’s “Borat” movie in which Cohen-as-Borat shows her a naked picture of a man he claims is his son while she is on camera.
Filed in Manhattan Supreme Court a year after the fact, the suit seeks unspecified damages, citing “commercial misappropriation, fraud, unjust enrichment, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
Driving while ‘Lost.’ The Honolulu Advertiser reports that Daniel Dae Kim, who plays the implacable Jin on the smash-hit show “Lost,” was arrested for DUI Thursday in downtown Honolulu. Kim has posted bail and gone home.
Is Kim in danger? Previous “Lost” stars Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Watros and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje were killed off the show after their own traffic-related brushes with the law.
