What’s wrong with “Being Nice”?

This saying is heard often, whether its “Nice guys finish last” or “Nice people finish last”.

So does this mean you can be discourteous and get what you want without.

Is this agreeable or just subjective?

    Nice people don’t always finish last, but assertive people (who some might consider mean) seem to progress further in a monetary sense.
